KAZLAUSKAS CARVING EXPOSITION

- Jurgis Kazlauskas began to
carve in 1966, when he was 52. At first his pieces of
work were primitive, small glued on a wooden board.
Later they became more original and skilful. Jurgis
Kazlauskas was a village philosopher. His carved things
depicted positive or negative traits of character, he
honoured writers, showing their characters in his
carvings.
- There were articles about
him in local and national press, he made exhibitions in
Anyksciai, Panevezys, Vilnius, Moscow.
